Our story

Urbanomy is EDF Group's strategic energy and climate consultancy, launched in 2020 as the result of an incubation process within EDF Pulse.

Starting with just three cofounders, we now have more than twenty people working at our offices in London and Paris - all of which are genuinely committed to combating climate change.

Without preconceptions, our staff is convinced that low-carbon solutions can only be written by and for our clients and stakeholders. Whether you are a private or a public entity, we help you define objectives that are both ambitious and practical. We come up with specific strategic recommendations that comply with existing and future regulations.

Our mission? To facilitate your intricate journey through energy and climate transition. Our purpose is to co-create positive futures.

We embrace these values in our day-to-day behaviour, always seeking to be POSITIVE, RELEVANT and INSPIRING.

Our vision

Adaptation, mitigation and resilience: targeted expertise is required to help your business or organisation anticipate, act and transform.

We shape the future with you, and our co-creation process is structured along 5 key points.

  • A comprehensive approach of climate change issues

Because climate change is a highly complex topic, we treat it with great rigour, integrating an understanding of associated interactions and rebound effects, to provide you with the clearest and most relevant recommendations.

  • Foresight and perspective

Our methodology is scenario-driven, taking into account the different possible outcomes, the specific context of each project, and helping our customers anticipate regulatory changes.

  • A stakeholder-friendly process

Decarbonisation plans entail a wide range of stakeholders: employees, suppliers, customers, occupants, local players, end users, rating agencies and so on. We identify the personas involved to help you drive sustainable and virtuous change.

  • Product-agnostic analyses

We are not equipment suppliers, and we bring you holistic analyses. We always adjust to your needs and issue unbiased technological recommendations.

  • A practical and forward-looking focus

EDF is a major global player in low-carbon energy. Urbanomy builds on this operational and pioneering experience to deliver practical, tried and tested, forward-looking recommendations.
