EDF Pulse Incubation was created to develop innovative business projects, carried out by the group’s employees, in line with EDF’s raison d’être: to build a net zero energy future.  

The incubator commissioned Urbanomy to evaluate the carbon impact of 6 finalist projects. The key issue was to provide the startups with an assessment of their carbon impact in the event of a successful launch and make them question their model so that they have more impact. 

To do this, Urbanomy proceeds in the following way: 

• An analysis grid applicable to each project  
• A maturity/decarbonisation potential matrix to evaluate the projects  
• Interviews with the project leaders to guide the analysis and collect data  
• Filled analysis grids and maturity/decarbonisation potential matrices  
• Summary notes to project leaders and the incubator
